Ludmila was born on the 13th of January 1953 in Opava, Czech Republic.
She graduated in 1972 at The College of Fine and Industrious Arts in
Uherske Hradiste, majoring in Ceramics. Ludmila pursues ceramic design
and ceramic art, producing decorative and functional forms, made of
various ceramic materials, fired at 1100-1300 'C. her most favourite
work material is either fine or course stoneware. Ludmila fires her
work in electric and gas kilns, also uses the technique of Raku (old
Japanese method) and smoke or salt firing.
She has participated in international ceramic workshops and symposia
in Bechyne (Czech Republic), Boleslawiec (Poland) and Panvezys
(Lithuania). You can find her works in museum collections in Prague,
Brno, Hodonin, Bechyne, Uherske Hradiste (Czech Republic), Boleslawiec
and Wroclaw (Poland), Panavezys (Lithuania) and many private
collections around the world. Besides her individual projects she
participates in many exhibitions in Czech Republic and Europe. Ludmila
is an active member of several organizations including Art Group "Q"
in Brno and Union of Visual and Ceramic Artists in Prague. Her works
have been presented individually or in group at many foreign galleries
and museum exhibitions in Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, United
Arab Emirates, Sweden, Belgium, etc.
